Frank Castro
I grew up in Malibu, California and have spent much of my life traveling in search of perfect waves, beautiful peaks, and inspiring wildlife safaris. I moved to Tanzania after college and ran lodges and organized many African adventures. We created mountain biking safaris, trekked with local Maasai into new areas, and built deep relationships with local communities.
I spent many years traveling the continent of Africa visiting top end lodges and camps and curating programs. I began to get curious about Wander Beyond and went to the Himalayas and absolutely fell in love with places like Nepal, Bhutan, and India. I spent many years trekking around the region and developing programs.
The next part of the journey was taking almost a year long journey to explore Central and South America. Places like Peru, Argentina, and Bolivia were astounding and offer so much in terms of landscape, adventure, and culture. My love for nature and passion for surfing took me to Costa Rica and it’s a place we visit as a family every year (with wife and daughter). I can safely say that I have covered the globe extensively in my travels. I have spent countless hours finding, organizing, and promoting adventures around the world for almost a decade. It’s a pleasure to support Wander Africa in its curation of luxury safaris and also with adventures around the globe.
